What does it take to be a farmer?

Mulberry Lane Farm offers an opportunity for children to become barnyard farmhands and experience life on a working farm. This unique and enriching camp is open to children who are between the ages of  6-8 and 8-10 & 9-11 this summer. The camp farmers will learn what it takes to be a farmer as they participate in hands-on activities in the big outdoors. And, as any farmer will share, chores need to be completed rain or shine. The day will begin with farm chores each morning such as collecting eggs, feeding and watering in the various pens, and even giving a few of our animal friends a morning bath! Farmers will learn about care and safety as they tend to our sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, cattle, and kittens that live at Mulberry Lane Farm. Our day will include traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts, group teamwork challenges, hikes around the farm, tractor-drawn hayrides, and plenty of time to snuggle with the animals. Our Barnyard Farmhands will work as a team and enjoy many outdoor activities with fun, learning, and adventure all an important part of our camp. New friendships will be formed, and memories to last a lifetime will be taken home on the last day!

The week will wrap up with Family Friday! Each farmhand will receive a coupon that will allow one adult to join us for free on our last morning. Camp farmers will share the knowledge they learned at camp with their visitors as they tour the farm and enjoy a tractor-drawn hayride. Pack a lunch to share as a family so we can spend the last hour together in our picnic/playground area. Additional family members may join the tour and picnic for a discounted fee of $9.50 per person. Camp will be dismissed at 1:00 PM on Friday.
